This palm tree is located at Steps beach on the Tres Palmas Trail.  This palm tree is very popular, and many people have painted it.  This palm tree even got itself in the logo of a restaurant, La Cambija.

It is a beautiful tree.  I think it is amazing to think about how the swirl in the tree’s trunk came to be.  Another tree could have fallen on it, making a dent, or a tree could have been shading it for a while but then fell, making it change its direction.

In this photo, you are looking at an Anole, who is sitting on abandoned planters at a beach called Domes.  There are many Anoles on Puerto Rico, but most are skittish.  This one is clearly unsure about what to do, staring right into the camera and making so it looks like he is posing for the picture.
